Gallbladder/gallstones

Hello
I'd love to hear from people who have not had their GB removed to hear their experiences.
I've had gallstones for a while but they only started playing up in Feb this year, following the birth of my second child. I haven't had any major attacks, but low level pain/discomfort under right rib, right shoulder blade and strange stools when eating anything fatty. Sometimes I will go back weeks where I feel normal and out of the blue, these issues will pop up again. I've been advised by surgeon to watch and wait, especially as it's not affecting my every day life much, but it's on my mind and I am too scared to eat an ice cream in case I set it off. I eat healthy/low fat.
Just wanted to know if anyone is in the same boat? At the moment it's tender under right rib when touched but no other symptoms.
Just had bloods done, fbc and liver all normal. Thanks

I haven't had mine removed but I had an urgent NHS ultrasound which showed the gall stones. I am now on a private hospital waiting list (yes really) for removal. I am aware that in most areas the NHS waiting lists are extremely long and so they prioritise those with the worst symptoms and it seems tend to tell the rest to live with it.

Me!
I have stones hidden in sludge (nice Confused) had ultrasound confirming in January. Am managing it currently with digestive enzymes, apple cider vinegar and peppermint tea and capsules.
The enzymes are a life saver. I take one before each meal. Before I'd have to avoid certain things but now can eat (in moderation) almost anything.

Had mine done over 15yrs ago.
Done by keyhole but got Pancreatitis so had to spend a week in hospital. That aside, after I went home and had a few days rest I was 100% and never looked back.
