Irregular bleeding

Hi im wondering if anyone has ever had a similar situation to myself, i am at my wits end!! I haven't been diagnosed for endo so I'm not sure it's even that I've got but I've convinced myself I have after reading up on Google. I have always suffered with irregular bleeding but it wasn't ever anything I couldn't handle so I never worried about it but recently (the last 15 months) after giving birth to my youngest, I have bled near enough every single day its got to the point where now I cant go out of the house without wearing a sanitary towel. My periods have become more painful I suffer badly with back pain, pelvic pain, and leg pain and my stomach cramps have worsened, when I bleed I am in terrible pain. Drs suggested I take the mini pill to see if that helps but 9 months later to no avail, they eventually referred me to gynecology but with NHS waiting times I am yet to be seen so I booked a private consultation and a internal scan, I got the results back and everything on the scan was fine, no concerns for anything which has made me wonder even more as I was convinced something would show up. I asked the Dr is it possible that I could have endometriosis but he said that continuous bleeding wasn't a common sign of endo but not to rule it out as it was possible. has anyone else had similar problems and managed to get a diagnosis? I'd be grateful for any info 🙏

Hi

Going through pretty much the same. I. Now waiting to have a hysterectomy and a diagnostic lap for endo.
I had to pay privately for someone to listen because one gp said I had fibromyalgia and another said sciatica. Bonkers!!
To me it does sound like endo that you have. I'll list my symptoms and you can decide from there.

  1. 3 weeks of heavy bleeding every month with severe pain.
  2. Pain during sex
  3. Uti symptoms for about a week after sex
  4. Very bloated belly - I always look pregnant.
  5. Bum/vagina daggers - random shooting pain.
  6. Can't poop or have the runs bad.
  7. Clots when I bleed
  8. Nausea
  9. Severe groin pain/hip pain.
10. Can't fully empty my bladder. 11. Pain when pooping. 12. Pain when bladder is full.

These are just some of the symptoms I have. I'll also add then when I paid to see someone privately they agreed to put me on their NHS waiting list for the ops. They would have been to expensive otherwise.

Also, endo is always picked up on scans. Most gyneas won't pick endo up either. It has to be an endo specialist.

Sorry meant to say endo "isnt" always picked up on scans. The only way to determine is via laparoscopy x

Thank you so much for your feedback, I just feel so deflated with it all and even going privately I feel like I'm no closer to finding out what's going on. I struggle on a daily basis and having 2 young ones its just a nightmare, I've been bleeding for 5 weeks straight now and before that it was 4 weeks with 2 days break surely this isn't normal. I have a phone call with a clinician on Thursday so fingers crossed they can help push something forward, thanks again for all the info.
