Hi, I have been getting thrush for about 4 years now (ever since losing my virginity) and nothing is seeming to stop it from coming back. I have done two 6 month courses of fluconazole, tried changing my diet and underwear, been tested for diabetes, tried multi gyn gel and high strength probiotics. I should also mention that I have been with the same boyfriend since I started getting it and that he has also been getting treated when I pass it on to him. I am really not sure what else I can try. I got thrush again last month after not getting it for a few months and it took weeks and weeks to disappear and a number of treatments (about 3 pessaries and 4 fluconazole tablets) and it has already returned! I am so worried about building up a resistance to the medicine and having nothing that gets rid of it. If anyone has any tips please let me know, I am also sure it is thrush and not something else as I have had lots of swabs done by doctors.

Has your boyfriend been treating himself too. I had this years ago with a bf, and it was treating us both that broke the cycle.

Start taking accidophillus probiotic 3 times a day....it is the only thing that worked for me.

Go to Holland and Barrett (or similar)and get as pure a supplement as possible.

Also drink lots of water and cut out sugar for as long as possible.
