Repeat blood test

Hi I suffer from extreme health anxiety. My son had a blood test yesterday. It was because he’s been suffering with stomach ache for a while. They have rang him today and have asked for a repeat and they said they need to double check something. I’m absolutely beside myself with worry. Why so fast? What are they checking for? Anyone?

Blood tests come back really quickly, it’s could be
1)that something is out of range and needs rechecking as it could go easily go back in range or it needs a second reading to confirm an issue
Or 2) there’s been an issue (unlabelled sample/haemolised) and the sample couldn’t be tested.

Try not to panic. Do you know what tests they were doing?

@MeetMeAtOurSpot Thank you so much for replying. He’s been having stomach issues. I’ve just picked up the form for re booking blood and it says ferritin.

Sorry @MeetMeAtOurSpot i re read your message. They were testing for ceoliac disease inflammation and H pylori.
