Yesterday i picked up my mouth guard from the dentist. I was there for an hour as she needed to keep shaving bits off it to adjust it.

It all felt fine when I left but I've had no sleep S I need to get used to it. When i took it out this morning, my front teeth feel quite sore. I'm just wondering of that's normal.

Did anyone else have sore teeth at first?

I forgot to add that it is for my lower teeth and it's the lower teeth that hurt.

I can tell I’ve worn mine, not sore but I know they’ve been trapped.

Yes. Mine made the teeth that had been in it all night feel a bit out of line and sore. I'd say that went on for a few weeks and then I was used to it. Speak to your dentist if it is more than mild though.

Thank you both so much. The soreness hasn't lasted too long so I'll keep persevering. I've got another appointmentment in a month's time so I'll keep going for now.

I have slight recession in my front teeth so don't want to do anything that will make it worse and can get quite stressed about my teeth.
