Menopause or autoimmune disease?

I’ve been seeing my GP for what I think are perimenopause symptoms:

Insomnia
Muscles aches
Vaginal dryness
Dry eyes
Irritability
Tearfulness/low mood
Forgetfulness

My periods are still regular but have shifted to a 25-31 day cycle from a 28 day cycle. They’re also a bit shorter than they used to be.

Dr says I’m unlikely to be in perimenopause due to my age (40) and the fact that I’m still having periods regularly, so she sent me for blood tests because she was worried about my muscle aches.

They’ve come back as positive for ANA (1:100) and ESR is also slightly raised (10mm/hr).

These are obviously signs of inflammation, but I can’t tell if this could be due to peri or something else. A few hours after I had the tests I came down with a horrible sore throat (not Covid), which I then had for 4-5 days. Could this have affected the test result as I was obviously battling a virus?

I can’t speak to the GP as they’re too busy and I can’t get an appointment until 30th, so I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas. I’m going mad with frustration at not being able to discuss further tests and part of me thinks this is all linked to peri anyway.

Any ideas?
