Does anyone know where to go if you want to contact someone via email for info about Medical Insurance with pre-existing conditions for the USA for a year. I can't find anything except some phone numbers!

Do you mean a specific insurer via an employer? If so - speak to the benefits coordinator/ whoever manages HR.

To get details on what will be covered and info on copays etc, you need to know the specific plan the employer has with the insurer. They will all differ, depending on the deal the employer strikes with the insurer for everyone at the organisation - so there's not really any generic information that will be relevant to you.

Not sure that helps much sorry!

Thank you, that's very helpful. I'll look into it further then.

You’ll probably have a choice of plan via your employer. We have a choice of three with the same insurer, different levels of coverage and price, so you need to look at your family’s needs and come to a decision on which plan. If it’s just for a year then I wouldn’t think too deeply about it, just make sure you’re covered.

I had pre-existing conditions when I joined the plan and it was absolutely no problem getting cover. There is something of a myth going round the UK that no one at all can get cover for them and that’s simply untrue.

As @AbsentmindedWoman said, you need to contact the HR department of the company that’s bringing you over. This is part of what they do and they’ll be very happy to explain the benefits.
