Hello wise Mners
First I had covid very very mildly 3/4 weeks ago! I genuinely bounced threw it other than some early nights and losing smell and taste! Both back now but not quite right. I never ever developed a cough. (Double vax)
I posted last week about my poor toddler with a viral throat infection . I've not experienced this before so was worried as he seemed to be taking so long to show any improvements . I had obviously taken him to the Gp. Good news is he is now showing improvements still very weak but smiling again at times so that's positive. He was also covid negative just FYI
I assumed I had given said throat infection to child as I started loosing my voice that weekend . I didn't feel ill thou. Thursday comes along and I start to feel flaky and rough very much a sore throat and also nausea I haven't ever been sick and strangely sticking to eating my three meals a day really helps. , I've been in bed at 7pm every night although not always sleeping well and my throat was sore. I then develop a cough that is grim and a blocked nose. I usually wake up feeling ok. And today worked all day with no issues other than irritating cough , occasional queasy moment and sore through but now for the last two days at roughly 5/6pm every night I get a fever of just shy or 40 and feel horrendous ! (DH has joked it's the getting out of cooking dinner fever )
I'm so confused .. is this the dreaded throat infection now and it's just lingered before striking? I don't think I have ever had one and I just feel washed out . The feeling sick in particular is confusing me ( also not pregnant FYI)
Could I have covid again ( lft negative can't take PCR I don't think due to how close together it is)
I will obviously seek medical advice but feel bad as my gp is so over stretched and they honestly try and fit everyone in because they are wonderful and they have already told me DS has a viral infection so I guess the law of averages says I probably do to?
It just feels so odd? And why only a fever at night?
Obviously I will call my gp if needed but any one had a infection like this?
Also that's turned into an essay so thank you if you have read it all!
