Lime green wee - normal?

Waxlyrically · 12/11/2021 21:40

Just that really - have had for a few days & it’s quite fluorescent and a yellowy green colour. Also experiencing frequent sweats but am early 50’s so no surprises there. Have had abscess & fistula op recently but healing well from that & recently given all clear so I don’t think it’s connected. Should I worry? Anyone had anything similar?

Do you take any vitamin supplements or medication?

bloodywhitecat · 12/11/2021 21:44

I was going to ask about vitamins too

Justgivemethebrie · 12/11/2021 21:48

Vitamin B gives you illuminous green wee if you've been taking that.

MrsAvocet · 12/11/2021 21:51

How recently was the surgery? The anaesthetic drug propofol can give you bright green wee.

Yummypumpkin · 12/11/2021 21:52

Yep. Vitamin supplements do this.

Moonflower12345 · 12/11/2021 21:54

Yes, vitamin B was the culprit. I checked the label and it was 1000% RDA. I changed to a different brand with a more sensible number and it didn't happen again.

haba · 12/11/2021 21:56

B vitamins or green tea and other herbal teas can do this.

Waxlyrically · 13/11/2021 15:54

Hmmm I take a menopace tablet which does have various b vitamins in it. All are quite high NRV values but I’m not really sure what that means. Hopefully not harmful or they wouldn’t sell them!
