Cyst behind ear? Is this normal?

Hi

I’ve got a growth behind my ear; it’s movable but can cause me pain, it actually can cause pain in my eye and head.? Also my neck and shoulder appear swollen.
I’ve spoken to the dr albeit over the phone and sent a photo, she thinks there’s an infection and I’m on antibiotics for 7 days.
My question is can a cyst cause pain elsewhere as mentioned above?

Could it be a lymph gland?

I’m not sure, the dr was reluctant to see me but has said to call back and they will see me if there’s no improvement in 7 days time x

Sorry reread! Yes the swelling could be swollen lymph glands if there’s an infection x
