Gallstone - Post Surgery Pain - Help!

I had my gallbladder taken out 8 weeks ago. Routine keyhole surgery that went ok but I did have a fair bit of complications with one of the incisions around my belly button (took 6 weeks to fully close). My diet mostly returned to normal.

In the last two days though I’ve been getting a really intense feeling around my right rib cage and a dull ache in the middle of my back. It honestly feels like I’m having a gallbladder attack! It’s awful.

I know it takes time to heal and sometimes stones get left in the ducts however my surgeon said he washed them out so I don’t think that’s the issue here.

Anyone had anything like this happen to them before? I will go back to the dr on Monday (can’t go tomorrow as I’m at the dentist) if I’m still having pain but does anyone have any advice?

Are you watching your diet as some fats can cause pain due to your lack of a gall bladder to help break it down..or something like that. I cannot have cream..only thing l notice that causes me difficulty but my friend gets a pain after rashers and other foods with fat. Try keeping a food diary to see if anything in particular is setting ot off. Before l had mine out coffee was a big offender.
But except for reaction to cream l had no air after the first few days ..hopefully its one particular food.
But do talk to your GP.
