Hi first time on here and worried .
I’ went for a ultra scan a couple of days ago to be told I have a bulky cervix and that due to that she could not see the lining of my womb as requested by my GP .
She said it needs action ASAP so has referred me to a gynaecologist.
Also to have a cervical smear test ASAP.
Said cannot rule out cancer or polyps etc.
I was shocked.
Soon as I got out of hospital I rung my surgery and got a smear test the next day which apparently takes up to 4 weeks to get the result.
The following day my GP rung me saying about my ultra scan and that I need to see a gynaecologist within two weeks it’s NHS fast track .
I’m so nervous and scared I’m 63 .
I have no bleeding and no discharge .
But had HRT for about a week 6 months ago causing a period so I stopped.
Anyone else been told a bulky cervix?
