Why are my periods all cocked up? Why does my veggie cupboard smell? Why do I guff and then blame it on the kids?

Well the period title in itself just seemed too boring!

I'm having another period after only two weeks! And, at the risk of tmi, it's very dark and old looking blood and I am getting period cramps.

About 6 months ago my period was a week late. Surely I'm far too young for the menopause? Why would this happen? I guess I should really get a smear test shouldn't I?

is veggie cupboard a euphemism?

coldtits · 12/12/2007 20:35

You pregnant?

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 12/12/2007 20:36

I bloody well hope I'm not pregnant!

Nah, my veggie cupboard is not a euphemism for my flange if that's what you mean!

perimenopause starts a good 10 years before menopause

sometimes periods get cocked up cos they just do, particularly in times of stress

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 12/12/2007 20:38

Oh ok, so I don't have to go for a smear then!

I am very stressed although being supermum I do cope with it extremely well if I may say so myself!

I had one after 17 days a couple of months ago. Normally a 28 day girl. Been fine since - just one of those things I think!

I have spent the last two months having spotting every weekend. not only is it inconsiderate and rude of my body, it is also inconvenient!

apparently mine is either...

peri-menopause

stress

the moon (

or that my daughter (13) seems to be very very close to starting her periods and her hormones are rubbing off on me.

just wish it wasn't every friday, saturday and sunday.

midweek far easier!(or even never as I have the mirena coil and was promised NONE!)

Ok, I feel less alone now. Thanks everyone! Normally my periods are clockwork but this is a bit worrying.
