Strange vibrating sensation

For the past few days I've had a strange sensation of buzzing around my tailbone area. Almost as if I'm sitting on a pager. It only seems to happen when I'm sitting down. No other symptoms but it's got me completely baffled.
Has anyone ever experienced this?

Yes, it's so weird! But I read it can be due to a b12 deficiency. I have been taking vitamins and not had it for a while.

Really strange that I've just read this as I had similar yesterday evening, I had a Google and couldn't really see anything and was going to write a thread on here...I'll watch this one

@FlorencenotRatchet it was v confusing because I do have to carry a bleep sometimes and it was like I'd forgotten it was in my back pocket!

Have you googled phantom vibration syndrome - could it be that?

It's definitely not that although it's an interesting read.
I can physically feel a vibration if I put my hand there.

Odd questions, but bear with me, a) can you hear a vibration too b) does it ever happen when you are asleep and c) does it come in two parts like a text message vibration, e.g. drrrrr drrrrrrr ?

No never hear it. Only when I'm awake

I had similar in my chest. I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency. I haven’t had it since having my gallbladder removed so wonder if it was the gallstones vibrating.

Can you make it happen? Do you feel it if you put your chin to your chest?
