Hi ladies, if someone responds I will be so grateful as I’m actually kinda concerned….
So last month a few days before my period was due I bled a bit on wipe like the start of your period would look but then I wiped again and nothing so I put on a pad anyway and my period never came the next day…two days later from that my period came, I thought it was a bit weird but ignored it now I’m due again and yesterday I bled a little bit again, bright red blood on wipe then wiped again and nothing…my period still isn’t here yet.
Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I’m very confused on what’s happening as this isn’t the norm for me….I’m not pregnant I haven’t had sex in months.

If it's coming at the same time every month it sounds related to your period rather than at random times or after sex (or masturbation? I don't know). I just found this:

www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/326479#summary

Irregular periods are not always a cause for concern. Periods that stop and the restart are often the result of normal hormone fluctuations during menstruation.

A person should see a doctor or gynecologist if these irregularities occur with every period, or if they experience other symptoms. A doctor can check hormone levels and may perform other diagnostic tests to determine the cause of irregular periods.

If you are concerned please speak to your gp.

Sparkai · 07/11/2021 07:59

They always say that changes in your period should be checked by your GPS

(Unfortunately, ime they are usually shit when it comes to period issues and just shrug their shoulders. But you might get lucky)

I'm concerned because it's not normal for me and I'm already being investigated for health issues so I'm always talking to the gp as it is...it's just another thing on top of everything else now

I do have a gynocologist as I have an issue but it's totally unrelated to periods so it wouldn't cause that, would it be worth calling up my gynocologist and asking them?

Just curious if stress can be a cause for this? I've been under a lot of stress recently due to health issues unrelated to this...

Stress can cause your periods to stop, yes.

Okay that makes sense then, it's just the on & off spotting now and again when I'm due is worrying me but could that be due to the stress aswell? Funnily enough this has started since I've been under a lot of stress aswell

I’d had this for the last couple of years. Never got an answer from GP or gynaecologist, they didn’t even acknowledge that it was a thing of interest (it wasn’t my only symptom but still). Anyway, read on here that a couple of weeks ago that it was due to low progesterone?

Could that be a possibility? I'm 26 so still in high reproductive years? Funnily enough I went to the toilet earlier in the day and there was more blood on wipe, much more like my period is coming, I am late aswell so I'm thinking my period is going to arrive very soon...just strange how it's coming bit by bit before it arrives
