sorry about this, but my bum is not in a good way.

over a year ago, after labour i had the most horrendous piles, so bad that my doctor couldn't quite believe it, but they eventually went away.

now a year on, i've just had a really awful experience on the toilet. quite a bit of bright red blood, no pain though. i'm sure its just haemmorhoids, so i'm not particularly panicked, but really can't face going to the doctor and having something shoved up my bum.

has anyone else had this/????

I get this, just the tiniest streak of blood. I use hemroid craem but it doesn't seem to help. I don't know if it should concern me, it never really has

dilbertina · 12/12/2007 17:29

ohh a subject I know far more than I want too about..... have you tried the...gulp anusol suppositries(sp?!). Anyway they are supposed to help the "internal piles". Makes your poo white-coated too....

If it doesn't clear up pretty quick though you should force yourself to docs...

MrsBadger · 12/12/2007 17:38

go to docs and demand Proctosedyl

tis magic

Antiquity · 12/12/2007 17:40

I got internal ones. When they were really bad I went to the docs and got some suppositories on prescription... they were green, did the job tho! Otherwise I just use anusol or germoloids suppositories.

I also got anaemic from them!

It wasn't so bad at the docs. She put her finger up there, but I'd read about it beforehand and if you breathe out while it's going up apparently it's easier.

It was my birthday last month, I'm so old now I have no shame

moodlesoup · 12/12/2007 21:33

thanks for the tip. i'll try to remember to breathe out, not in!
