How long does laryngitis last?

I'm assuming it's layngitis anyway. Started with a sore throat, lost my voice, developed a cough that seems to be improving but voice is still very hoarse to the point I can't work. I felt tired and run down at first but now feel well apart from the effort of talking is tiring me out. Covid PCR negative btw.

It's been a week now since the start of it all. Dr Google says it usually clears within a week but I have 2 young children and also I've had to 'push through' it at times in the first few days due to things we had going on so I haven't rested my voice and if anything I've strained it more.

I don't feel I need to consult a GP just yet as I don't feel unwell anymore.

I don't know how long it typically lasts but the 'pushing through' it bit sounds like a red flag. Hope you can get some proper rest and a chance to recuperate.

I had laryngitis a couple of weeks ago. My voice was croaky for about 3 days and started getting better on the 4th

That sounds more like tonsillitis than laryngitis. You don't normally get throat pain with laryngitis....
