Weird sickness

Woke up in the early hours feeling a bit sick, threw up every 15 minutes for 3 hours. Now feel ok but obviously wrung out.
Seems a short amount of time to be sick for if it was noro or proper food poisoning but too extreme to just be something I ate?

You might have had less of the virus in your system so it went through faster.

It does sound like something you ate though - your body needed to get it out and now you feel better.

We had something similar 2 weeks ago, started with toddler then me then dh. We all puked for between 3-8 hours, then left with nausea, aches and pains. Likely norovirus given how it spread.

Yet here I am in bed feeling nauseas again...extreme tiredness, Covid negative on tests but just not right.

I’m feeling ok now. Headache but that’s probably dehydration and lack of caffeine!
I’ve had noro a few times (I seem quite prone to it but have avoided for the last few years) and it did seem like that but I was expecting the full 24 hours! Not complaining, just bemused.
Kids and dh seem ok so far…

I would say your body was extremely efficient at getting rid of whatever it didn't like.

When we get something like this, I am violently ill for a very short period and then get better very quickly, but DP will be mildly unwell for days. I prefer my way!
