Hi, I'm so confused right now. I saw my GP Friday for gnawing pain in my stomach (right in the middle between breastbone and belly button), started out of the blue (literally) a couple of weeks ago and has become relentless. Only time its not there is very first thing when I wake up. I've been on shop brought PPis since it started now the GP has upped me to 40mg esomeprazole which has destroyed the rest of my digestive tract and I've been on the loo with the squits the whole weekend and on top of that the burning pain has Got worse instead of better.
Should I carry on with the tablets if they're making me this ill? The pharmacist said its a very high dosage.
I'm drinking gaviscon by the bottle but nothings helping.
Please someone give me some advice I'm tearing my hair out! The burning and burping is constant.
