Firstly I'd like to say I've been covid tested multiple times for this and not once has the test been positive. Nor do I think it's an after effect of covid as it's been going on for a long time and I've never had covid as far as I know.
Smell is fine if anything heightened. But taste sometimes bland which is weird cos most of our taste comes from smell doesn't it?!
Anyway, I keep going through periods of time where my taste buds are either really heightened or really bland. The latter is the worst... I could be eating something and it tasted completely bland but an hour or two later my food tastes fine again.
Like yesterday - breakfast, good, lunch good, dinner good - evening snack - bland as hell!
This morning fine again. I seem to have delayed taste buds too... like when I'm chewing I can't get the taste straight away.
Seems to be more of a problem in the winter.
I do have long term sinus issues. Mainly in the winter. Have out the heating on this week that has caused havoc with my sinuses!
Anyone else got bad taste buds? Is it likely the sinus issues? It goes from one extreme to the other heightened to bland.
I don't smoke btw as this has been suggested as a cause before.
