I'm hoping someone can give me advice before I speak to my doctor.
I've noticed for the last couple of months that a week or so before my period I have one nipple that doesn't seem to have discharge but smells horrid. It goes away by itself a couple of days later but definitely seems linked to my period.
I'm early 40s, 2 small children although I never managed to breastfeed and I'm not on any hormonal contraception, definitely not pregnant. Potentially peri menopausal but still having regular 28 day periods. No lumps that I have found nor pain when it happens.
Has anyone had similar to this? Google brings up lots of info on discharge but I really haven't noticed that I have any so can't compare colours etc. Maybe a slight stickiness but no colour or anything very noticeable.
I have a call booked in next week about a separate issue so was going to mention it. Every time I've thought about making an appointment it's gone again so I haven't done anything about it yet.
