Toothache causing bitter taste in mouth?

I've had a horrible taste in my mouth since friday, along with an irritated sore tongue
Have also had intermittent toothache in one of my back teeth, which I have ignored as no dentists are taking patients on near us. Could they all be linked?

An abscess can cause a strange or bitter taste. You really need to get it checked out.

Sounds like an infection. Please get it checked ASAP! It could get worse very fast.

Could be an abscess. They can sometimes cause generalised pain. Phone 111 as they can direct you to emergency dentist if need be. I wouldn't delay getting it attended to. You may need antibiotics and it's nasty if the infection crosses over into your bloodstream.

Thank you, called 111, who gave me some numbers, no one would see me face to face so had a phone appointment
