I have recently made a blood test and I was told my cholesterol level was 6.4. I know I need to take easy or stop dairy products, sweet stuff and exercice more. Apart from that, what else can I do ? Thank you

Whole grains, lean cuts of meat, plenty of fresh fruit and veg. Avoid processed food cakes, pies, pastries, biscuits, chocolate, full fat cheese, sausages etc and cook from scratch. Exercise and reduce alcohol.

Avoid meat

My husband's is 6.8 and the GP is putting him on statins. Foods to avoid:

Sausages, bacon, pies, cake, biscuits, things like that. Read labels on packaged stuff. My cholesterol is 3.2, yet I'm on statins, since my stroke in July, as the consultant said "we give them to everyone who's had a stroke" even though mine was supposedly caused by Covid

I was told to eat avocado & natural almonds. Although they have fats in them, they are good fats. Obviously eat in small amounts.
