Gallbladder attacks

On Sunday night I had my first really painful gallbladder attack- it was really horrendous. For the next two nights I had mild attacks which were uncomfortable but manageable. I then visited my GP who has referred me for an ultrasound to confirm gallstones.
The last two nights I’ve had moderate attacks, they are painful but not as bad as Sundays.
Im so worried that this is going to happen every night until I have my gallbladder removed. Is it a condition that tends to come and go or does the fact it’s been nightly so far mean that pattern is likely to continue?

Once I found out I had gallstones, I managed to stop my attacks until I was operated on by eating a very very low fat diet. My gallbladder was in a very bad way (surgeon said it would have perforated has I not had removed when I did). There was only about a month between my diagnosis and the removal op. Before then the attacks were intermittent but increasingly worse until I ended up with a blocked bike duct and jaundice.

I'm currently waiting for surgery for this having been hospitalised by a blocked bile duct. I tend to have one large attack and then milder attacks afterwards, but have gone years between them. I'm on an urgent referral for surgery and it still looks like a potentially long wait due to covid. Hope you get sorted soon OP. (Also if they haven't recommended already try buscopan for Ibs, that's what they gave me in the hospital to help.)
