What could these symptoms mean?

Hi all,

Firstly, I am going to make an appointment with my dr tomorrow. I just don't have the brain that waits 🤣

Nausea on and off for a month. The longest lasted a full week.

Bloated stomach - have put weight on.

Very very tried and easily breathless.

Needing a wee more than usual.

Constipated and different bowel movement.

Periods are coming on 3 days early each month and lasting longer.

I had Covid in the summer and have put the tiredness down to that. I still can't taste or smell 3+ months later so kept thinking I have long Covid, whatever that actually is. Also, I've picked up coughs and colds since Covid which I don't usually get. Hadn't had one for 5+ years before that. So also put the nausea down to that.

I have Long Covid and have had six of your eight symptoms over the course of the last 19 months (the latest being needing to wee more!). But I really think you need to get checked out at the docs, with blood tests particularly with a change in bowel habit. I haven't had that. I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry, meant to say, I'm postmenopausal so no periods!

MrsFin · 20/10/2021 17:05

Could you be pregnant? It's possible to have periods and also be pregnant.

Zoink · 20/10/2021 22:54

Definitely not pregnant, no

I really don't know what that might point to but my gut feeling is not to mention covid or long covid at all and get them to make sure you are checked thoroughly in general.

In all likelihood it will be nothing but bloating, weight gain, and changed bowel habits need proper investigation.

GP wanted to give me anti-nausea meds. I said no I don't want something to fix it; I want to know why it's there. I've been having period like pains too. He's doing bloods next week.

Hi OP - I don’t want to concern you unduly because those symptoms can mean a lot of things but is your GP ruling out anything to do with your ovaries ?

Some of these symptoms of can point to issues which will need ruling out.

Have you been feeling full or had any appetite changes ?

PeachesPumpkin · 22/10/2021 19:57

Coeliac disease?

Zoink · 24/10/2021 17:38

@Hodgehog hi, I've now mentioned ovaries and he said he will add it to the blood tests next week! I've been feeling sick and very tired after eating but haven't been filling up any more than usual!

Pleased to hear it - hopefully they can fine something simple and fix it.

Zoink · 25/10/2021 09:29

Yes 😊 I'll let you know x

I had tests for absolutely loads of stuff- about 12 tests. All clear. Now they think long covid, but don't send me to a clinic for it bc I didn't do a test when I had it
