Constant acid reflux for days - indigestion?

Hi, for the last week I’ve had reflux symptoms it’s like a burning in my lower stomach, very unpleasant. It starts up worse when I change my side in bed ie if I turn to go onto left or right. It’s relieved when I eat but then comes back again after. It’s frustrating as I’m noticing it affect my voice unless it’s conicendence.

I do have a history of reflux in the past where it took months to go after alcohol/antibiotics but it did clear on it’s own. Symptoms were different though and I did see a gastro who gave peptac and pantoprazole but never got round to taken. She mentioned surgery may be an option but i’m scared…
I do wonder if this has been triggered by garlic that i kept eating when I had viral infection few weeks ago!

I’m 26, I have Hypermobility and I am slightly overweight. No kids!
Any tips or advice xxx

Have you been checked for H.pylori? Its a bacteria that causes stomach ulcers, its curable with antibiotics and its only a stool sample to diagnose!

Previously got tested for that few times and all was fine, scared that I’ve developed it as that was months ago! Is antibiotics only treatment for it?

I think so, I'm not a dr, but a microbiologist. It'd check with your DR, as it sounds miserable to have acid reflux all the time, I'm pregnant just now and suffering a bit, so I feel your pain!

Are you taking any meds for this? Surely that would be an option before surgery? I take lansoprazol. As I get indigestion as a side effect of my SSRI medication.
