Lump in breast

I'm seeing my GP later on this afternoon but worrying myself sick wondering if it's something serious. I'm 37, generally healthy and had a baby 10 months ago. I BF until he was 2 months old and then we all got Covid and my milk dried up sadly. So, I've had a hard pea sized lump in the areola area for a while. I put it down to a blocked duct or something, and tbought it would go away. Then I forgot all about it. But it hasn't gone away. I squeezed a small (montgomery?) bump which the cyst sits under, and a small amount of pus and blood came out. Its not the nipple, a small bump on the areola area. I'm hoping it's just a fluid filled cyst and nothing serious. Anyone had similar?

Try not to come up with different scenarios and wait until you see your gp. I know it's worrying but try to busy yourself.

Thanks @FindingMeno yes, trying to keep myself busy and not think about it. Also staying away from Dr Google! I can't help feeling something isn't right Sad

Hope you've managed to get by and have seen/ will see the GP soon.

Hi @FindingMeno yes i went to GP surgery, she examined my breasts and wasn't worried about the original problem. She said it's blocked milk ducts from when I was BFing DS. She did however discover a couple or lumps on that breast, she said they are very small but she wanted them investigating. I should hear from the breast clinic in a few days. I'm hoping it's nothing to worry about.

That all sounds appropriately thorough and I hope all goes well at your breast clinic appointment Flowers

Thank you! I hope I hear from them soon, waiting too long will be very difficult..
