They're almost 5 months old and have rotten colds, coughs, runny noses etc and just won't take any milk for me. I think in the last 48 hours they've had less than 16 oz each, they normally take 4x8oz bottles a day and have always been good eaters...am I right to be worried or will this pass and not harm them? Seeing HV tomorrow morning but I'm just feeling sick - they nust be soooo hungry!

Hello bibijesus(love the name),if they are not feeding because of a bunged up nose have you tried saline drops up their nose and then use a nasal aspirator to suck out all the snot-sorry a bit graphic i know.
If they are just not eating because of the cold itself try not to worry as long as they are having fluids they will start feeding properly again when they are feeling up to it.Hope the poor little sods feels better soon.my ds who is 30mths has got a bad virus with an awful cough and snotty nose so my thoughts really are with you.

Yup, we've been using saline, kiddie olbas oil and a nasal sucker and they're just not taking much milk. They'll take a bit then just push the teat out with their tongues and scream and squirm until you stop trying.

I think they have sore throats as well which is why swallowing is hurting them. Hmmmm.

thank you for the advice. x
