Worst cold ever

I have been suffering with the worst cold ever (dubbed by the press) for 8 days now. Started with a fever, sore throat, headache and sneezing. I had a PCR which was negative. Last Saturday and Sunday, I was so exhausted I had two naps on both days (luckily my dh was around with our 1 year old). I was just starting to feel normal again yesterday, bar blowing my nose and this evening I'm feeling chills, sore throat and headachey again. I don't have a temperature though. How long did it take for this cold to go if you were suffering from it? I was so floored last weekend and I'm fed up of being unwell!

We got 2 waves of it over 4 weeks. Miserable for about 10 days, better for 4-5 then hit with it again. Just passing now and we’ve just got bloody positive LTFs!!!

I'm on my second wave (week 3) - could sleep all day, full of phlegm (sorry), sore throat and just generally achy and shivery. At least the cough has gone.

Week three of this bastard cold and I still can't shift it. I've been living on hot water bottles, Vicks, Day and night nurse but just not getting better.

I have also had 2 waves over the past 4 weeks, I had anti biopics as it turned into a chest infection which didn't make me feel much better.

Me and my partner both had it. He had it for around 4-5 days, I had it for 3 then caught another bug (I’m also 32 weeks preg) where I couldn’t keep any food or water down for FIVE days. I finally ate yesterday night after being sick through the day and kept it down!)
My partner just fell asleep now saying he doesn’t feel good and has a headache 😴

Just as an update: yet another fever all night last night 🥵

I'm on my 4th wave since September. Basically a more or less permanent cold for 8 weeks now :( with a few days of feeling better every weekm or two.This is the worst cold I have ever ever had and I just want to feel healthy again

Have you had another PCR? It took 2 PCRs for my COVID to show and 3 for DD1's.
