Chronic nausea

Hi all, I’ve had constant nausea and burping since mid-August, blood tests fine, waiting H Pylori results but suspect they’ll be negative as it’s the only symptom. Anyone else had chronic nausea and what was the cause??

Me. Have had it since February😣. Endoscopy found bile in my stomach which means small intestine is pushing stuff the wrong way…since diagnosed with sibo which could be the cause of stuff going the wrong way. But then need to find what’s causing the sibo…. Hoping that will be able to start with treatment after my next appointment (waiting on a few more test results). You have my sympathy - it’s really truly miserable when you feel constantly 🤢 and can barely eat💐

Aw Blinkingbatshit I'm sorry you're feeling this too!! Interesting you say SIBO, my blood tests came back with high folate levels which Dr Google says can 'rarely' be caused by SIBO. I also have diverticulosis which Dr G also says can be associated with SIBO.

Are you on anything for the nausea? GP prescribed omeprazole while we're investigating and it does seem to help... Really hope you get some answers soon x

Thanks @Walkerby, they initially gave me metoclopramide but you can only take it for a max of 3 months (& the side affects list is properly scary so I’m pleased to be off it). It didn’t make too much difference but I did feel marginally better in the mornings when I was on it. My initial consultant was a bit of a dinosaur who scoffed at the idea of sibo so am transferring up to one in London who’s a bit more up to date. Nhs don’t regularly offer the test so if you have the cash it’s worth ordering it and doing yourself.
