Male Hernia Operation

Hi Everyone,
Has anyone's DP/DH or male relatives had a hernia operation and gone on to successfully conceive? DH has a very small hernia, GP advised its not effecting his fertility at present (not blocking anything) but did say it would be better to operate now before it gets any bigger. We are trying to conceive and I'm selfishly abit worried about whether the op might hinder our future chances. Does any have any positive stories for me please? Thank you in advance. :)

@Snoopysnores hi! Can you update me on what happened? My OH has a small hernia / slightly visible in the right light. We have been trying for nearly a year... wondering if this is causing a problem. He was told having an op had risks of infertility afterwards so he won't have an op for a good few years I don't think. It doesn't cause him any trouble yet.

Yes me OH had a hernia repaired before we had children. If caused no issues at all when it came to making babies. His was quite large as inguinal hernias go and caused a lot of discomfort.
It took us about 9 months of trying for our first, several months less for the second and babies 3 and 4 arrived without any effort at all!
