Internal vibrations in leg - could it be ms?

I've posted on here before regarding headaches and similar but I just wanted some advice about what to do next and if anyone has had the same? I suffer with health anxiety so my mind is currently in overdrive, I can't eat, can't sleep and just convinced I have something terrible wrong with me.

The last 2 weeks I've had an internal buzzing sensation in my leg- mainly when I stand on it but also sometimes when I'm sitting. I also feel like I'm just 'not with it', horrendous tiredness and brain fog and feeling slightly dizzy when I turn my head at times. Not always and not like I'm going to fall over but almost like when you've had too much to drink. My whole body feels like it's just not right. I wake up each morning with a stuffy but not congested nose. I've had some headaches but not horrendous ones. I've tried my gp so many times but all I get is a telephone appointment and told that it's nothing to worry about right now. I'm so worried that I've got a brain tumour or anxiety and they just won't listen to me.

Has anyone ever had the same thing and got a diagnosis?

Several people think it's stress related. Did you have a really nasty virus hit you before all this?

squashie34 · 13/10/2021 21:32

@SpaceshiptoMars I had a bad cold but not a virus - I have, however, gone back to work full time after Mat leave and we are selling our house so I've been struggling with stress as I'm finding it quite difficult. Could stress really cause all of these symptoms?

The brain fog and tiredness sounds a bit postviral, but you've got enough stress going on to mess you about physically! It's OK, it won't go on foreverBrew

Hi, sorry to chase you on this. Did you get to the bottom of it?

Crikeyalmighty · 02/07/2024 00:27

I had all this post covid - took 9 months to die down

miniworry · 02/07/2024 03:39

@Olivia37 I am the original OP but have since name changed ☺️ I paid privately for an mri of my brain and it didn't show anything. Doctor recommended upping/starting vitamins like magnesium/vitamin d/vitamin b12. The vibrations eventually stopped so they think either vitamin deficiency or anxiety as I was suffering at the time!

Crikeyalmighty · 02/07/2024 09:31

@miniworry - as I said last night I had identical and came on post covid /post vaccine-- acute headaches daily, all at back of head, dizziness the weird vibrations - buzzing in fingers- felt always like I had a hangover even without drinking. I was convinced I had MS or worse or a brain tumour . I upped the vitamins hugely and drank tons of water and at about 9 months it faded- nearly 2 years I get occasional sensations but nothing like at the time

@miniworry thanks so much for your prompt return. I’m glad MRI was clear and you feel better now. All the best.
