Hello ladies I am mother to a 10 year old boy , Tommorrow he has to go in to hospital and have an in drip cannula the lot. Im trying to be calm but I’m so nervous to the point Im shaking and I don’t want this to project onto him :(. I hear horror stories about nurses not putting cannula in right and it freaks me out. I just want to protect my baby. I’ve always been an anxious mother ever since he was born any tips on how to stop this ? Thank you xxxxxx

I work in a hospital. They are medical professionals and know exactly what they're doing, I see cannulas be put in every day and have never seen anything go badly wrong.
Your son will be absolutely fine, he will be their priority while he's under their care.
It's natural to be anxious when our children are in hospital but put your trust in the professionals. He'll be absolutely fine
