Cervical Smear negative but high risk?

Hello

Wondering if anyone has had similar experiences. Ive had my smear test and it has come back negative but high risk so on 1 year recall. Ive been told that its nothing to worry about and ill be called up in a year. Has anyone had similar?
Everything im reading says if your at high risk you would have had a positive hpv test?

Is it negative for abnormal cells but positive for HPV perhaps? That would usually put you on the yearly smears...
