Carpal tunnel

Has anyone got carpal tunnel syndrome? How do you manage it? I think I have this in my left hand/arm/wrist. The pain is a stabling, tingling, aching, burning.

Nothing is touching this pain.
It’s my left hand and arm, the one which I use.

I’m contemplating making a THC infused balm, it’s that bad!

Any advice on pain management would be great.

I have carpal tunnel, it’s bloody awful! 😣 At the moment I’m managing the pain with splinting at night (a must have), turmeric capsules for the inflammation and OTC painkillers when needed. I get shoulder, elbow and arm pain at times during the day (like an ache) and pins and needles sometimes at night (even with splints). My fingers have recently been really painful during the day too, if I try to use pressure they feel stiff and like they’re going to seize up. I find my symptoms come and go, some days they are bad, other days I don’t notice it.

I first got intermittent symptoms about 10 years ago, then it completely went away for about 3 years and came back earlier this year. I was initially on naproxen but I didn’t find that helped. The next step for me is a steroid injection. I’ve got close family members that have had to have the operation so I’m guessing that’s where I will be heading in a few years.

You need to get a definite diagnosis so the Doctor can advise you of where to go from here. I had nerve conduction studies that picked mine up immediately. It’s a debilitating issue, I’m often dropping things! 😣 I hope you can get some relief from the pain.
