Nhs prescription still requested 3 days later?

So I’m on a few repeat medications for my stomach ulcer, one is an anti sickness med the other is a one which puts a lining on my stomach, I take 3 of one per day and 2 of the other per day, I order on line on the nhs app as my doctors surgery said this was the best way and the medicines would be approved within 24-48 hours. So on Friday I order my anti sickness medicine, I realise the weekends don’t count but very often I have medicine approved at midnight or over the weekends, on Tuesday (yesterday) I order my stomach lining medicine, this morning i checked and my medicine from yesterday was approved and my medicine from Friday which is now over due and I have none left as of last night, is still waiting to be approved! Does anyone know how the nhs app works? Why my medicine could have been missed or not seen but the medicine I put through days later was approved within 12 hours? My surgery isn’t open yet but they are so hard to have phone calls with especially as I work and can’t use my phone. Does anyone know about this? Should I just put the medicine through again?

Not sure if your surgery is the same but, mine has a dedicated phone line just for pharmacy who will check prescriptions for us or, online I submit a request for admin to check my prescription request. Admittedly not all work this way failing that you have to phone and wait I guess.

It could have just been missed or maybe you are due a review before they can prescribe that particular medication again. Think youll need to speak to them.

Tried calling this afternoon and they are closed for training ughhh medicines still requested and not approved as of yet we are heading into day 4 and Iv been sick twice today because Iv ran out of my medicine

Have you spoken to the pharmacy? If it's a repeat prescription ours will give a couple of days supply which will give you time to sort it. Its sounds like it's just been missed for some reason.

We are inundated with prescription requests. Have to deal with ill patients first so scripts go lower down list. Only so many hours in a day.

Ours will do this as well which is probably one of the main reasons that I haven't swapped to an online pharmacy.
