Anyone else get chilblains every year when the weather gets colder?

I find them a right pain in the butt, or should I say pain in my toes! I know they will usually heal themselves over a few weeks, but at least once a year when it gets colder at least a few of my toes go so red, swollen and itchy. Anyone know any good home made remedies?

My dc has raynauds phenomenon - treatment is nifedipine, keeping warm (lots of layers, warm up slowly if you get cold, wear fingerless gloves all the time), steroid creams if you start itching and antibiotics if get infected. Take photos and speak to your gp.

Witch Hazel! I swear by it, my chilblains are awful - crippling at times... Also, if you can get some, Nelson's chilblain cream. Don't be put off by the fact it's homeopathic (haha) as it actually contains some decent ingredients.
