What are these on my uvula

Hi. First Post but I've had these a few years now since I had severe tonsillitis. The gp said they would fade. They haven't. Any ideas what they are?

There's a small symbol of a paperclip underneath the box where you type your post although it won't work if you're newly registered on Mumsnet I think.
