Hello,

I'm wondering if someone could shed some light on this situation. DD (18 months) had a fever for a day and a half, but that has now subsided and is normal. DD however, is not normal, in fact is a Jekyll and Hyde baby today - one minute happy and chatting and the next screaming and flinging things across the room. She is sleeping well, though not eating or drinking much and we have basically been in front of the TV watching cartoons and reading books. This seems to keep her calm. But she is very clingy and I have basically not been able to leave her side, if I do she becomes hysterical. A friend says she may have an ear infection - would she not have a fever with this?

My 17 month old DD behaves similarly when she has new teeth coming through. She doesn't tend to complain, but becomes very clingy and is upset by small things which wouldn't normally bother her.
