Cervical ectropion

Hi. I was just after some positive experiences from ladies who have cervical ectropion. Does anyone have cervical ectropion which bleeds after sex and your smears have been normal? I just keep worrying about it and making myself upset.

Hi yes, me!

I have had mid cycle bleeding and bleeding after sex for a few years and had 2 normal smears in that time. I also had a uterus biopsy done just in case and that was normal too.

As I understand it bleeding after sex is a flag to refer to gynaecology to check out to make sure nothing sinister and when I saw the practice nurse about the bleeding she did a referral. (Came back normal as I said above.)

The nurse who did my recent smear said I had an ectropion and that it was no issue but if the bleeding was a problem it could be removed.

I have had one. It was removed about 8 years ago due to bleeding and the two smears I have had since have been normal.

Yes I've got one. I bleed after sex, all my smears are normal and I've had a biopsy that's normal.
They are usually nothing to worry about according to my gynae consultant.

You posted the same post a few weeks ago and several commented on it to say don't worry. Surely you've had a smear and have had/awaiting results by now?
