Mirena Crash

Hello,

Has anyone any experience of this? I had my coil removed just over 2 months ago now. I was ok for about 3 weeks and then out of nowhere I got extreme anxiety, sadness, fatigue, dizziness and nausea.

It got a lot better after say 6 weeks but then I just finished my second period and the anxiety and sadness has come back even worse than before.

I called the GP who told me what was happening (mirena crash) and offered me AD. I don’t want to take them as I don’t feel depressed if that makes sense. I just feel not like myself with extreme anxiety and very tearful. GP said this could go on for months and if no better soon they will check my hormones.

Anyone else had this? Anything I can do to help myself?

Thank u

Noadvice as I'm getting mine removed on Friday. Six months of hell with it. I was hoping once it's removed I would go back to my normal self pretty quickly or at the very soonest lose my bloated stomach that makes me look 6 months pregnant. Angry

Following as I'm looking to get mine removed due to non stop bleeding and spotting but worried about the crash now!

Currently going through this and wondering op how you got on? I hope things levelled out for you. I’m two months post removal and I’m sad and anxious and exhausted a lot of the time 😞
