Caught some kind of lurgy off of 10m old DS that he must have picked up at toddlers. He’s on the mend but mine has been lingering for a few days and I’ve woken up today coughing my lungs up 🙄
All day I’ve been coughing so hard that I’ve been physically sick 😓 ridiculously tickly cough!

Anyone recommend any home remedies? Or a decent cough bottle that works?

Presumably negative pcr test?
Benylin and night nurse.

These- they do a medicine as well but I’ve never tried that. They taste vile but they are the most effective things I’ve found for a cough, tickly or chesty. I’ve always got some of these in the cupboard.

@TreaslakeandBack Yeah, should have added that! Negative PCR at end of last week (tested when DS had to be tested) and negative again yesterday when I developed a cough.

@Whentheydontmeanwhattheysay I was worried that was going to be the recommendation 🤣 haven’t tried the pastilles but have had the medicine before 😬 I still remember the taste 🤣 Willing to try anything at this point so will pop to the supermarket and see what they have!

With you on the bronchostop taste, and I didn't find it much good. The childrens one is much tastier and works brilliantly when my dd has a cough so maybe try that? Hope you feel better soon x
