Having used the forum for some years, I have found massive support in times of need over the years from my herniated disc, marriage problems and now what seems to serious health problem that can’t be solved, especially thanks to those that messaged while I was in hospital, but it’s now time for me to leave the forum as I got a rather nasty message saying my question had been deleted didn’t realise I was asking something that they deemed not aloud got sarcastic response, which when you are losing the fight because they can’t find the problem have now lost 3 plus stone was upsetting, so just a big thanks all of you

What was it you asked? Are you sure you want to leave over one thread that went bad? For those of us that have been around long though, there’s usually one or two that don’t go as planned.

Maybe give it a week or two and see how you feel.

I hope things work out for you Flowers

user1497873278 · 24/09/2021 11:14

PurpleDaises I just asked about buying a prescription drug from the internet as obviously it’s cheaper, wanted to know if anyone had risked it. Thought it was a nasty response from them when it didn’t need to be, I was not aware you weren’t allowed to ask something like that, but also has made me see how controlled it is, as you often see that they have deleted posts, so no it’s not you lovely people, it’s the powers that be

user1497873278. So you are saying that Mumsnet Towers deleted your thread? Is that correct?

I am really sorry you are ill op. It's sounds like you have been through a lot. I can understand why Mumsnet HQ didn't let that question stand though. If someone bought the drug off the Internet and was ill or died as a result of taking it, they could possibly be found irresponsible or liable I imagine?

idontlikealdi · 24/09/2021 12:05

I'm sorry you're unwell but they couldn't let that stand, this is a public forum and they could be held liable.

user1497873278 · 24/09/2021 12:13

It wasn’t that, it was the nasty sarcastic way they did it, it’s not how you talk to people, I didn’t realise you weren’t able to ask that sort of question so I get it, just disgusted by their response, was unprofessional and childish

Op I'm sorry you are upset. That doesn't sound like Mumsnet HQ ime. I've been on here for years and very occasionally posted on the wrong thread, or reported a post, or had a post removed when I've inadvertently revealed too much and they have always been unfailingly polite and erred on the side of being rather generous in terms of what they would do or allow. Are you sure you are not confusing their message with a pm from someone? Or that you haven't been hacked or something?

user1497873278 · 24/09/2021 12:36

No my first post didn’t appear, so I read wrote it not thinking it had been removed as I’ve never had that before and they then messaged me after my second post saying what is it you don’t get op and yes it was clearly them, I was shocked originally apologised then thought about it overnight, and to be honest I’m now really angry about it

OP posts:
user1497873278 · 24/09/2021 12:36

Sorry re wrote it

Why not report this thread and your own post now and try and sort it out with them directly?

user1497873278 · 24/09/2021 13:18

I just don’t have the energy to be honest and if they respond to people like that, I truly can’t see the point, they obviously think it’s acceptable to be so rude and aggressive, anyway so many lovely people have given me such great advice and comfort in times of need I just hope I’ve managed to give a little bit as well, didn’t intend to go into it but felt angry, I’ve said my bit, thank you all you lovely’s out there

Hello @user1497873278 we're really sorry that we've upset you by deleting your threads. We're afraid we don't allow threads discussing where to buy prescription drugs.

We've had a look and can't see any mail from us to you about your thread. Could you please forward the message to us or get in touch directly on [email protected]?

user1497873278 · 24/09/2021 16:08

Really well that’s not true is it, you didn’t just delete the thread you messaged me which I’m sure your aware, I’m actually taking this further because I’m disgusted by the tone of the message, obviously you can delete this but I have the message in my mail so do what you want.

It’s outlined in red and comes from MNHQ so lying is also ok by your rules as well as aggressive, sarcasm

Oh OP, can you go back to your GP or if the pain is that bad A&E may be your only option/pay privately but can be expensive I know. You shouldn’t have to suffer.
