Got bitten today

I got bitten today by a child. It happened on my arm. There's a big 2 inch red mark on my arm now. The arm is not sore but the point or red mark/bruise is sore when pressed. No skin broken.

I was just reading that hand and upper limb bites along with some other locations can turn serious. I'm worried now. I don't have time to be sick.

It is upsetting but I'm sure you will be fine. Bung an ice pack on if it's sore. I've been bitten multiple times and it's really upsetting but nothing bad has ever happened to the site of the bite.

It’s fine unless skin is broken and then bacteria can enter.

Is your tetanus vaccine up to date? Otherwise give it a clean and keep an eye on it. How deep was it? If you can see bone go to the walk in centre to get it properly stitched up.

It may bruise, but if the skin wasn't broken you'll be fine. The mouth and teeth have a lot of bacteria, but as the skin wasn't broken the bacteria can't get in to your body.

If the skin isn’t broken you should be ok.

If thd skin isn't broken it very likely won't get infected. Just use an ice pack and keep an eye on it!

If skin is broken you'll need it to be assessed as you may need antibiotics. If skin isn't broken then there's no problem

If it's just bruised you'll be absolutely fine, no broken skin equals no problem

I don't know if the skin is broken.

It didn't bleed yesterday. It does look like there's 2 puncture mark. There are 2 teeny tiny red marks around the bruised area.

I also happened to have a scratch at the site of the bite (from a cat). The scratch is a hairline one.

I don't know if bacteria would have entered
