Pain & difficulty breathing during any activity

I struggle to feel like I’m getting a full breath if I’m walking, or exerting myself in any way. I also experience mid back pain on my left side during this time. I assumed this was from carrying a bag on this side so I no longer carry a bag when I know I have to walk.

I’m overweight (about 2 stone) and have F cup chest if that makes a difference. L
GP is not perturbed by this at all but it’s having such an affect on my life.
I had a flight with an airline that has gates so far from the airport entrance it feels like you’re walking to your end destination. I had to sit down several times on the way to the gate gasping for air even though I was walking slowly. I’m relatively young so it doesn’t feel normal to have mud back pain, chest discomfort and struggling for breath during the most minimal exertion.
Any ideas what could be wrong or how to get GP to take it seriously?

You need to keep pestering your GP. This isn't normal at all.

Definitely not normal. If there is another GP in your surgery, try them. If not, switch GPS. I changed GPs a couple of years ago. It was quick abs easy to do and the difference from the old GP to the new was like night and day. I was having strange problems with no immediately obvious cause - old GP told me there was nothing more they could do and new GP sorted it out.

Good luck OP and keep at it until you are happy.

not normal.
has the gp listened to your chest? done any physical exam or blood tests?
if not persist and complain.
your health issues are probably not due to your weight alone.
