Worried about Mark on leg.

I went to the GP a while ago with the red mark on the left in the pic on my upper thigh, he said it was a group of blood vessels not a mole and not to worry. However it has now raised up and turned black and crusty. I will contact the GP tomorrow but I just wondered if anyone had had similar and all was OK as I'm slightly worried about it.

Definitely get it checked. I had something similar, and the scab fell off and left clear skin behind. Ask for a referral to dermatology. Most GPs are not great with skin issues.

It’s also good that you have the two photos to compare. I’ve had melanoma, and the mole that was affected was not the mole I was worried about! Please don’t be fobbed off by your GP, and ask for a speedy referral to dermatology. If you’re in London, Guy’s are excellent. I have a melanoma nurse to call now, and will be seen in two weeks. My mother has to go via her GP as she’s in a different area, and it’s much slower.

I've had similar and had it removed/ biopsy. All fine.

I am in the south West but I am from London and know Guys well, glad you are being well looked after and I'm glad your melanoma is now out, what a relief to know you'll be seen so fast too!
