What is this bite from? Pic included

Morning! First off I'm not concerned I'm just curious. I got bitten on Thursday by what appeared to be a massive mosquito 🦟.

Now I have been known to react badly before (massive redness and itchy) but I've never had this white line appear (see blue arrow) and the red and white patches spread so massively.

I'm taking antihistamine but any idea what did this? Or just a mosquito as I first thought. Thanks.

It could be a horsefly bite. They are bastards!
My other thought is that it's infected and you have cellulitis. The best bet is to draw a line around the red mark and watch to see if it is getting bigger. If it is, you need antibiotics.

Thanks. Yea I did see it was massive but definitely not a horse fly. No I thought tick too but no bullseye. Think it's just the random pigment thing. It's bloody itchy and waking me up at night 🙄 it is definitely getting bigger. If it is bigger tomorrow i will pop to my Phamacy or call the GP if needed. Cheers for the replies.
