I have had ulcerative proctitis for years. Am 50 now and it’s never been too bad and easily controlled by local steroids. I know I’ve had haemorrhoids for years as my dr would embarrassingly tell me I didn’t have a flare up but just piles. I now have a hard lump on anus. No bleeding but occasionally I can feel it gets even more swollen and then it gets sore when go to bathroom. Does anyone have similar symptoms with haemorrhoids? I’ve heard of blood clots in them and prolapsed haemorrhoids but I’m concerned as the lump has been there sometime.
