Cervical ectropion

Hi. I was just after some positive experiences from ladies who have cervical ectropion. Does anyone have cervical ectropion which bleeds after sex and your smears have been normal? I am so worried.

I have this. I dont bleed after sex though. I had no idea I had it until the nurse noticed while she was doing my smear (smear came back fine)

Weirdly I had a smear a few days ago and was also told I have this. Also told it's completely normal and benign, absolutely won't affect chances of getting an abnormal result.

It can, however, get inflamed and also bleed especially with smears. I did lightly bleed for the day of the smear.

I did , but only became an issue in 1st pregnancy, I did actually have pre cancerous cells in my smear about a year after, cin3 nothing else since removed though

This is exactly what I had. No idea I had it until I had a smear and nurse mentioned it. I went home and googled and scared myself to death but this was 4 years ago

Thanks ladies for your replys. Yes i got scared myself. The doctors say that cervical ectropion is normal but some websites say it could cause cervical cancer. I just wanted some positive experiences of ladies who had symptoms and were okay.

I have this, and I did also have further tests which then showed abnormal cells so I have to have the loop thing to remove the cells. Results since have been fine but I have smears more often to keep an eye. My advise would be to make sure you keep on top of your smears and anything abnormal TO YOU, get checked out. I always spot after sex.

I have this and bleed after sex.about twelve years ago I got it cauterised but it came back and as I understand it they don’t do that now. Doesn’t cause me any problems and my smears have been normal.
