About 3 weeks ago, I found a large armpit lump (about an inch or 2 long) and saw my GP that same day. I was put on the urgent 2 week referral to the breast clinic as I also have a family history of breast cancer.
Yesterday I had a mammogram, ultrasound and core biopsy. They have said my breast tissue looks clear but the lymph node in my armpit has a large abnormal mass in it. I have an appointment next week to see them after the biopsy results are in, to discuss further tests "once they know which depratment to refer me to".
Anyone had anything similar and it was all ok? Or does it sound like bad news? I am freaking out a bit here!
